Demotispa pallida Baly, 1858: 65 View in CoL (type locality: ‘Bogota; Columbia’; HT! in BMNH!). Demothispa rufa Pic, 1926a: 14 (type locality: ‘ Guyane Fr.’; HT! in MNHN!); SPAETH (1938): 313 (synonymy).

Distribution. Brazil: Pará ( WEISE 1910b), Colombia ( BALY 1858), French Guyana ( WEISE 1910b, PIC 1926a).
