DISTRIBUTION. Belarus (Pisanenko & Monsevičius, 1991); Austria, Belgium, Great

Britain, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italia, Poland,

Romania, Russia (European part), Slovakia, The Netherlands, Ukraine (Smetana, 2004;

Semenov, 2007; Kapp, 2019). West-Palaearctic species.

NOTES. Beetles live in compost, haystacks, under fallen leaves, dry grass, in the nests of mice and ants ( Formica spp. ). Imago observed from June to September.
