Lectotype (Jonsell & Jarvis in Nordic J. Bot. 14: 155. 1994; Rilke in Biblioth. Bot. 149: 141. 1999): Herb. Burser XVI(2): 24, right specimen ( UPS) . - Epitype (Rilke in Biblioth. Bot. 149: 141. 1999): Herb. Clifford: 86, Salsola 2 ( BM) .

Current name: Salsola kali L. View in CoL ( Chenopodiaceae ).

Note: Jonsell & Jarvis (in Nordic J. Bot. 14: 155. 1994) designated the Burser material as lectotype. However, Freitag (in litt.) has pointed out that this is a mixed sheet of S. tragus (left) and S. kali (right) and Rilke (in Biblioth. Bot. 149: 141. 1999) restricts this choice to the right-hand specimen, and also designates an epitype.
