Callichroma (Callichroma) auricomum viridescens Schmidt, 1924: 320 ; Monné, 2018a: 39 (cat.; in syn.).

This subspecies was described based on syntypes. According to Schmidt (1924), the syntypes belonged to more than one collection. Monné (2018a) reported the syntypes being deposited in the ZMHB collection. Tavakilian & Chevillotte (2018), listed them as being deposited in the MNLI collection. Napp & Martins (2009) did not inform where the syntypes were deposited. Gaedike & Behne (2013: 173) reported 4 syntypes from Colombia deposited in the DEIC collection.

Monné (1993), without any explanation, included Callichroma (Callichroma) auricomum viridescens under synonymy of Callichroma auricomum . Napp & Martins (2009) only listed the synonymy, but did not provide an explanation. We accept the indication by Monné (1993) as a formal synonymy (see comments on C. (C.) auricomum rubescens ).
