Lectotype (Verdcourt in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 59. 1993): Herb. Linn. No. 1073.1 ( LINN) .

Generitype of Kleinhovia Linnaeus.

Current name: Kleinhovia hospita L. ( Sterculiaceae ).

Note: Merrill (Interp. Rumph. Herb. Amb.: 363. 1917), followed by Smith (Fl. Vitiensis Nova 2: 399. 1981), stated that the type is a Kleynhof specimen but without saying where it was conserved.
