Opisthognathus muscatensis (not Boulenger) Dor, 1970
This species does not occur in the Red Sea ( Smith-Vaniz, 1986b). This record is based on misidentification of Opistognathus n.sp. known only from the Dahlak Archipelago (Smith-Vaniz, pers.comm).
