Description of Limnohabitans planktonicus JJ 9012

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, non-pigmented, and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex and white-colored after 2 days of incubation on R2 A at 25℃. Positive for cytochrome oxidase, but negative for nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase urease, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, indole production and β -galactosidase in API 20NE test. Strain JJ9012 (= NIBRBA0000114163) has been isolated from freshwater, Cheongsong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea .
