Bryocoris Fallén, 1829: 151 View in CoL . Type species: Capsus pteridis Fallén, 1807 View in CoL (by monotypy).

The genus currently contains ten fern-feeding species predominantly distributed in southern China and Taiwan. Only two species have relatively wide ranges, B. gracilis Linnavuori, 1962 View in CoL known from southern China to Japan and New Guinea, and B. pteridis Fallén, 1807 View in CoL widely distributed in the forest zone of the Palearctic Region ( Hu & Zheng 2000; Konstantinov & Knyshov, 2015).
