Hymenophyllopsis incognita Lellinger (1984: 6) . Type: VENEZUELA, Bolívar, Meseta de Jáua , west-central portion of Cerro Jáua, 1922–2100 m, Steyermark 98014 (holotype US!, isotype NY!).

Distribution: Venezuela (Bolívar), very little is known about this species. It is appropriately named.

Characteristics: This species differs from the similar C. hymenophylloides in its 0.75–1.00 mm wide segments and less dissected leaves.
