Materials examined. 676 individuals; Stations Vas. 1(13), 2(50), 5(139), 9(7), 11(1), 13(6), 14(30), 15(6), 17(96), 18(4), 20(7), 23(36), 24(46), 25(2), 26(17), 27(25), 29(7), 30(5), 31(9), 32(6), 33(31), 34(1), 35(1), 36(1), 37(40), 40(79), 41(11).

Distribution. Cyprus, Mediterranean Sea ( Myers et al., 2018). In Vasiliko Bay it is considered as a constant species (FI: 61.9 %).

Ecology. In Vasiliko Bay it was found at 6–51 m depth (22 + 13 m), mainly in muddy sand and also sand substrates, with organic matter ranging between 1.933 –11.119 % (6.196 + 2.668 %) and in association with C. prolifera , C. cylindracea , C. nodosa , Dictyota spp ., H. stipulacea and P. oceanica . It was found in stations classified according to the Bentix Index as in: “high” (5 stations, 145 individuals), “good” (10 stations, 348 individuals), “moderate” (11 stations, 158 individuals) and poor (1 station, 25). It was recorded at the ports (72 individuals), the buoy (2 individuals), at the freshwater underwater and power station outlet station (13 individuals) and at the fish farms stations (189 individuals).
