Material. Amazonas, Solano, Puerto Santander, Comunidad Aducha, 300 m [sic, 170 m], D. Alfonso & H. Andoke leg./1999: ICNB; Isla La Guarnición, Rio Caquetá, La Pedrera, J. Cortés leg./2004: ICNB. Nariño, Santa Rosa de Sucumbios, Rio San Miguel, 400 m, Malkin leg./1971: FMNH 175441 (as P. coloratus ).?, “S. America:” UMMZ 4543.
Altitudinal range. The Colombian records comprise elevations at or below 400 m. The Ecuadorian localities reported in Breure and Borrero (2008) from the Provinces of Napo, Orellana and Pastaza range from approximately 240 to 600 m in elevation.
Remarks. These are the first records of this species in Colombia, which we previously interpreted as an Ecuadorian species. The new Colombian localities are consistent with those from Ecuador, suggesting a distribution in the eastern Amazonian lowlands of both countries.
