Plekocheilus (Eurytus) roseolabrum ( E.A. Smith, 1877)
( Figs 13 View FIGURE 13 G–I)
Bulimus roseolabrum E.A. Smith 1877: 362 View in CoL . Type locality: Ecuador, Prov. Loja, Malacatos. Lectotype BMNH 1975135 ( Breure 1978). Plekocheilus roseolabrum (Smith) ; Richardson 1995: 320 (references), Breure & Borrero 2008: 6.
Material. Ecuador, Prov. Loja, Malacatos: BMNH.
Remarks. This taxon is characterized by the dark parietal callus, the granulate surface on shallow elevations of the surface ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 I) and the color pattern with predominantly axial brown streaks. The specimen from Prov. Zamora-Chinchipe, referred to by Breure and Borrero (2008) on the basis of a photograph only, proves to belong to a different, as yet unidentified species. The type locality may be near the town of Malacatos (~ 1675 m), or may refer to a location along the Malacatos River, including higher elevations.
