Canthidium aurichalceum Preudhomme de Borre, 1886: 112 [transferred to Neocanthidium by Vulcano & Pereira (1967: 592); transferred to Canthidium ( Canthidium ) by Martínez & Halffter (1986a: 26); here transferred to the subgenus Neocanthidium ]. Type locality: French Guiana (“Cayenne”). Type material: Unsexed holotype (IRSN). Distribution: French Guiana and Brazil (Martínez & Halffter 1986a).
