Type material. CHINA, Yunnan Province: Holotype male from Baoshan City, Tengchong County, Ruidian Town , Yunfeng Mountain , 25.38°N, 98.44°E, 2275 m, 10 June 2014, X. Cao & Y. Zhong leg. ( CBEE, LJ1659 ) GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 1 male, 1 female, with same data as for holotype ( CBEE, LJ1660 LJ1661 ) GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, the Yunfeng Mountain; adjective.

Diagnosis. The male of P. yunfengensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to those of P. cheppe and P. kongdangensis spec. nov. by E semicircular, having EP near the distal part, but can be recognised by the following characters: 1) Basal part of E broad; 2) RTA bent (basal part of E narrower, RTA almost straight in P. cheppe and P. kongdangensis spec. nov.). The female of P. yunfengensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. saetosa by: 1) Anterior margins of LL straight, running more transversally; 2) LL touching each other along a distance at the median line, but can be recognised by: 1) IDS closer to anterior margins of LL in ventral view; 2) Posterior margins of LL regularly rounded (IDS closer to posterior margins of LL, posterior margins of LL irregularly rounded in P. saetosa ).

MALE (LJ1659): Measurements: Medium sized. Body length 12.7–13.2, DS length 6.1, width 5.6, OS length 6.6, width 4.9. Eyes: AME 0.26, ALE 0.35, PME 0.29, PLE 0.32,AME–AME 0.23,AME–ALE 0.18, PME– PME 0.30, PME–PLE 0.38, AME–PME 0.36, ALE–PLE 0.35, CH AME 0.44, CH ALE 0.36. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121; Fe I–II 323, III 322, IV 322; Pa I–III 101, IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 7.3 (2.2, 1.0, 1.6, –, 2.5); I 35.1 (10.4, 3.4, 9.5, 9.3, 2.5); II 39.2 (11.0, 3.6, 11.6, 10.0, 3.0); III 31.4 (8.9, 3.2, 8.6, 8.5, 2.2); IV 33.4 (10.0, 2.3, 9.3, 10.0, 1.8). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 20 denticles.

Palp ( Figs 274A–C View FIGURE 274 ): As in diagnosis. E arising from T at 8:00–9:00 o’clock position, broad, wide, with triangular EP sub-apically, with sickle-shaped tip. Spermophor running submarginally on retrolateral T. T with disto-prolateral rounded outgrowth, covered by E in ventral view, best seen in prolateral view. RTA arising proximally to medially from Ti. vRTA strongly reduced and without projection, covered by E in ventral view.

Colouration ( Figs 276A–B View FIGURE 276 ): DS yellowish-brown, with two massive lateral dark patches Fovea distinctly marked. Dorsally OS reddish-brown with several clusters of dark hairs, and a brown transversal line in posterior part, ventrally light reddish brown, with darker spots.

FEMALE (LJ1661): Measurements: Medium sized. Body length 18.7, DS length 7.7, width 6.9, OS length 11.0, width 7.9. Eyes: AME 0.32, ALE 0.38, PME 0.34, PLE 0.36, AME–AME 0.30, AME–ALE 0.22, PME– PME 0.34, PME–PLE 0.43, AME–PME 0.40, ALE–PLE 0.37, CH AME 0.44, CH ALE 0.38. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–II 323, III 322, IV 322; Pa I–III 101, IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 8.7 (2.9, 1.0, 1.6, –, 3.2); I 25.6 (7.3, 2.6, 7.0, 6.5, 2.2); II 28.9 (7.8, 3.2, 8.0, 7.2, 2.7); III 23.3 (6.7, 2.4, 6.2, 5.9, 2.1); IV 25.2 (7.5, 2.1, 6.5, 6.7, 2.4). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 16 denticles.

Epigyne ( Figs 275A–C View FIGURE 275 ): As in diagnosis. EF wider than long, with short AB. IDS visible in ventral view. FW well developed, covering IDS; LL covering posterior part of IDS in dorsal view.

Colouration ( Figs 276C–D View FIGURE 276 ): As in male, generally darker. OS dorsally with three light chevrons; transverse light line in posterior half procurved.
