Etymology – ThespecificnameisaLatinnounandreferstotheinfraspecificdifferent bodycolour.
Diagnosis – Thenewspeciesissimilarto Blindusreichardti Medvedev, 1968, butcanbedistinguishedfromthelatterbythefollowingcharacteristics: (1) headsmooth, withsmallandpartlyconfluentpunctures; (2) fronsnearly flatbetweeneyes, interocularspaceabout 4.78 timesasaneyediameter; (3) antennomereIIIabout 2.12 timesaslongasII; (4) prosternalprocessdifferent inshape, longitudinallydeeplydepressedinmiddle; (5) protibiadifferentin shape, inneredgedistinctlycurved, suddenlydilatedatbasal 2/3; (6) ventral surfaceofprotibiawithalargefusiformdepression; (7) metatibiadistinctly curved; (8) aedeagusdifferentinshape.
Description – Male. Bodyelongateelliptical, stronglyarched; colorationfromred- dishbrowntoblack, antennomereI–II, VIII–XI, mouthpartsandlegsslightlypaler. Head hexagonal, smooth, withsmallandpartlyconfluentpunctures; labrumtransverselyovoid, slightlyemarginateatfrontborder, scatteredwithyellowhairs; clypeusdeeplyemarginateatfrontborder, slightlyconvex; frontoclypealsutureobscure; genaefeeblyconvexand slightlyextended, templesdistinctlyreduced; fronsnearlyflatbetweeneyes, interocular spaceabout 4.78 timesasaneyediameter; mentumnearlyhexagonal, narrowlylongitu- dinallyconvexinmiddle, longitudinallydepressedatbothsides, withsparseyellowpu- bescence; maxillarypalpuswithsecuriformterminalpalpomere. Antennaelong, reaching baseofpronotum, withshorthairs; antennomereIthickandstrong, IIveryshort, IIIabout 1897). Scale bars = 1 mm.

Scutellumwidelytriangular, withsmallpunctures. Elytradis- tinctlypunctato-striate, withlargepunctures, intervalsflatwithsmallpunctures; lateral marginsvisibleonlyathumeriindorsalview. Pseudo-epipleuronintact, graduallynarrowedtoapices. Prohypomerawithlongwrinkles. Prosternumwithirregularwrinkles andsparseshorthairsinmiddle, prosternalprocesslongitudinallydeeplydepressedin middle, verticallydescendingatpointedapexinlateralview.
Protibiadistinctlywideningfrombasetoapex, withtwoequilengthapicalspurs, inneredgedistinctlycurved, suddenlydilatedatapical 1/3, withdenseshortspinesnear apex; outeredgeslightlyarched, withdenseshortspinesnearapex; dorsalsurfaceslightly convex, scatteredwithshorthairs; ventralsurfacewithadistinctlargefusiformdepression, smoothwithindepressionandwithsparseshortspinesandhairsonoutsideofthe depression. ProtarsomeresItoIIIextremelydilated, withdensefuzzinventralsurface. Mesotibianearlystraight, withdenseshortspinesandhairs. Metatibiadistinctlycurved, smooth, withsparsehairs. Metafemoracurved, withsparsehairs. Ratioofthelengthof metatarsomeres I to IV as follows: 68.0: 38.0: 24.0: 50.0.
Aedeagusshort, length 1.61 mm, width 0.57 mm.
