6. Tetragonula (Tetragonula) atripes Smith, 1857 , Orangeand-black Stingless Bee

This species was recorded from Singapore at Bukit Timah by D. H. Murphy in 1965, but not subsequently. Although only just meeting our fifty-year cut-off for this category,

this distinctively coloured species is likely to be extirpated ( Ascher et al., 2019). We have recently observed an active nest at PBS.
