Remarks. When proposing Cotycicuiara acuminata Galileo & Martins, 2012 , the authors described the integument color as reddish-brown. We compared a specimen from Colombia with a paratype deposited at the MZSP, and the former has a dark brown (almost black) integument, which we consider a variation. Currently, this species was known only by the type series from Panama, thus we are registering C. acuminata for the first time to Colombia.

Geographical distribution: Panama.

Material examined. Paratype male from PANAMÁ, Cocle: El Valle (2400 pés), 16–22.V.1981, J. E. Wappes col. ( MZSP) . COLOMBIA, Bolívar: San Jacinto, Reserva La Flecha , 324 m, 09° 51′ 12,4′′ N 75° 10′ 41,4′′ W, 1 male, 15–16. IV.2018, UV light-trap, García, K. col. ( UARC) GoogleMaps . New country record.
