Material examined. 5339 Eldfisk 2/7 B ELDB–12; 56.4187°N–3.2129°E; 74 m; 22.05.2011; one specimen.
Diagnosis. Antenna short, not reaching first chaetiger. Secondary ciliary organs present. Two or three prebranchial segments. Branchiae numbering about 16 pairs; short, cylindrical and distally rounded. Modified notochaetae absent. Neuropodial capillaries not thicker than notopodial ones. Modified neurochaetae without terminal spine and with tip gently curved and without hood.
Distribution. Mediterranean ( Laubier & Ramos 1974). Eastern Atlantic, from areas of the North Sea adjacent to Norway ( Hartley 1981) to Portugal ( Gil & Sardà 1999).
