Material examined. 5339 Regional Reg I Reg–02; 59.9160°N–3.3319°E; 68 m; 25.05.2011; one specimen.

Diagnosis. Antenna short, with a single articulation. Secondary ciliary organs present. Three prebranchial segments. Branchiae numbering 7–13 pairs; short and triangular. Modified notochaetae absent. Modified neurochaetae hooked with subterminal spine on concave side of stem.

Distribution. Eastern Atlantic, from the North Sea near Norway ( Hartley 1981) and Kattegat and Øresund ( Kirkegaard 1996) to the English Channel ( Southward 1956). Mediterranean ( Laubier & Ramos 1974). Eastern Pacific, from British Columbia ( Hobson 1976) to Baja California (de León-González et al. 2006).
