Remarks.

Both previously known species of the genus Scalibregmides were described from shallow water off South America: Scalibregmides chilensis Hartmann-Schröder, 1965 and Scalibregmides peruanus Blake, 1981. The current specimen represents the third known species from the genus and the first from deep water.
