Distribution: SE Nigeria; Cameroon, north of the Sanaga River and just south of it; Bioko ( Equatorial Guinea). See Grubb (1973) for details.
Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered; IUCN – Endangered as M. l. leucophaeus and M. l. poensis .
Discussion: The names sylvicola, variegata , cinerea , livea and sylvestris were suppressed by Opinion 935 of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (1970).
