Lectotype (Proctor in Howard, Fl. Lesser Antilles 2: 222. 1977): [icon] "Lonchitis Calamifera, pinnis serratis" in Petiver, Pteri-graphia Amer.: 153, t. 9, f. 8. 1712.

Current name: Lomariopsis sorbifolium (L.) View in CoL Fée ( Lomariopsidaceae ).

Note: Although Underwood (in Bull. Torrey Bot. Club 33: 600. 1906) indicated Plumier’s t. 117 as type, it does not form part of the protologue so is not original material for the name.
