Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 11 – 16 ) with wingspan 8.0–11.0 mm. This species is similar to P. semicircularis sp. nov. in external appearance, but it differs from the latter in the male genitalia by the tegumen with lateral band curved archly outwards, the irregular sacculus, and the cornuti consisting of several slender thorns ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 29 – 34 ); in the female genitalia by the lamella postvaginalis being a sclerotized elongate linguiform plate ( Fig. 43 View FIGURES 39 – 43 ). In P. semicircularis sp. nov., the lateral band of the tegumen is slightly arched inwards, the sacculus is semicircular, and the cornutus is a stout thorn in the male genitalia; and the lamella postvaginalis is a pair of elliptical processes in the female genitalia. This species is also similar to P. bisechinata sp. nov. in the socius with two thorns in the male genitalia, and detailed differences between them are stated under the latter species.
