Signoret (1869b: 451) first transferred this species to Parlatoria but misspelled the name as Parlatoria zizyphi . Grandpré & Charmoy (1899: 27) first used the combination Parlatoria ziziphi . Current status: Parlatoria ziziphi (Lucas) (Family Diaspididae ).
