Type Locality: Brazil, Goiás, Fazenda Santa Helena, at Rio São Mateus about 72 km from São Domingos (13 o 50’W, 46 o 50’W) .
Vernacular Names: Climbing Cavy.
Distribution: C Brazil in NE Goiás and probably Tocantins, west of the Espigão Mestre, Serra Geral de Goiás.
