Comments. Following the procedure established by D. Polhemus (1997), Padilla-Gil (2011) provisionally assigned R. calceola to the bisignata group due to the lack of macropterous specimens. Subsequently, Padilla-Gil (2015) described R. tricoma in the hambletoni group, because the macropterous forms displayed three closed cells on the forewings. Because Galindo-Malagón et al. (2021) synonymized both species, R. calceola can be definitively placed in the hambletoni group, which was overlooked by these authors.
