Sciades mastersi (Ogilby, 1898)

Arius mastersi   ZBK Ogilby, 1898: 34. Type locality: Darwin , Northern Territory, Australia. Holotype: AMS I.25690-001 .

Arius sagoroides   ZBK Hardenberg, 1941: 221, fig. 2. Type locality: Merauke , Irian Jaya, Indonesia. No types know.

Tachysurus (Pararius) godfreyi   ZBK Whitley, 1941: 221, fig. 2. Type locality: Darwin , Northern Territory, Australia. Holotype: AMS I.5270 .

Distribution: Southern New Guinea and northern Australia.

Countries: Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia.

Habitat: Marine and brackish waters.

Maximum size: 510 mm TL.

Material examined: MZUSP 38654 (1 al, 302 mm SL), Papua New Guinea, mouth of Chapman River .
