Remarks.
Listed as a valid subspecies by Minelli (2006). Verhoeff (1934) stated that it was like Cryptops parisi rhenanus but with anterior legs with spine-like setae and a transverse row of these on sternites 2-4. Tergite 1 with a round posterior depression and tergites 2 and 3 with a double oval depression. Further information is required about this form which is from Italy (Pisogne). It is here regarded as a nomen dubium.
