Canifa LeConte 1866: 144 View in CoL . Type species: Scraptia pallipes Melsheimer, 1846 , here designated. Note:Apparently synonymized with Scraptia Latreille View in CoL by Pic (1898: 122) with a reversal of nomenclatural priority. Made a subgenus of Scraptia Latreille View in CoL by Pic (1902: 334) and again synonymized with Scraptia Latreille View in CoL by Pic (1911: 4) but revalidated as a full genus by Schaeffer (1917: 359).
