Type material of Synagelides proszynskii (examined). Holotype ♁ (coll. no. Dap 24), CHINA: Hainan Is. Dapo, Dapo Village , Ex. pepper plantation, 25.III–9.IV.2011, leg. A. T. Barrion et al.

Description and diagnosis. See Prószyński (2009) for a redescription and diagnosis of the species.

Distribution. China (Anhui, Beijing, Fujian, Hainan, Hebei, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Taiwan, Yunnan) and Vietnam.

Comments. The type material of S. proszynskii was studied and no clear differences could be found to separate S. palpalis and S. proszynskii . Thus, we consider S. proszynskii syn. nov. to be a junior synonym of S. palpalis .
