Geosargus illuminatus Lindner, 1949a: 815 . Holotype: male (NHMUK). Type locality: Brazil, Santa Catarina, Nova Teutonia (= Seara).
References. Lindner, 1976: 3–4 (record from Paraguay, as Himantoloba ); Woodley, 2001: 224, Paraguay is not mentioned).
Distribution. Brazil, Paraguay (Cordillera: San Bernardino).
Comments. Although originally described from Brazil, Lindner (1976: 3–4) reported this species from Paraguay, but in the World catalog of the family ( Woodley 2001: 224) Paraguay was not included as part of the distribution for this species.
