Remarks. Regan (1910) described Trichopodus pectoralis based on a series of six specimens from Thailand ( Siam) and Singapore, but did not provide more precise locations. This species had apparently been introduced into Singapore in 1898 for aquaculture ( Smith, 1933), and is presently sold in local markets, salted and without heads (Tan HH, pers. obs.). Fig. 116.
