DISTRIBUTION. Transpalaearctic widely distributed polyzonal species known from

British Islands to the Russian Far East of, in Europe southwards to Spain.

NOTES. On wetlands, larvae phytophagous, develop in shoots of big Carex , e.g. C. inflata .
