Mozambique, New Guinea, New Zealand, Oman, Philippines, Portugal, Réunion, Rwanda, Saint Helena _ Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Spain (Canary Islands),

Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Taiwan, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Tanzania, Timor, United Kingdom,

Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Petauke, in Eastern Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Geranium sp. (Geraniaceae) and Solanum sp. (Solanaceae) reported as larval food plants of the taxon in Madagascar; Verbascum sp. (Scrophulariaceae) is the plant host in Saint Helena . Elsewhere in Africa the larval foodplnts include: Nicotiana sp. , Solanum sp. , and Nicotiana tabacum L. in the plant family

Solanaceae ; Salvia sp. (Lamiaceae) ; Agave sisalana Perrine (Asparagaceae) , Arachis hypogaea L. and

Phaseolus sp. in the plant family Fabaceae ; Bidens pilosa L., Cineraria sp. , and Lactuca sativa L. in the plant family Asteraceae ; Eucalyptus saligna Sm. (Myrtaceae) , Gossypium sp. (Malvaceae) , and

Pinus radiata D.Don (Pinaceae) . The wasp, Enicospilus dubius (Tosquinet) (Ichneumonidae) , is the parasitoid of the taxon in South Africa ( Rousse & van Noort 2014) and Enicospilus mauritii (Saussure)

(Ichneumonidae) is a parasitoid of the taxon elsewhere in an unnamed African country ( Rousse &

Villemant 2012).
