DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Kenya, Malawi, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Togo, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province ; Petauke in Eastern Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include grasses, Cyperus esculentus L., C. exaltatus Retz. , C. papyrus L., Oryza sativa L. ( Pinhey 1975).
