COMMON NAME (S): Bicoloured Pearl. SYNONYM(S): Eudioptis perspicillalis Zeller, 1852 ; Glyphodes diurnalis Guenée, 1854 View in CoL ; Glyphodes parvalis Walker, 1866a View in CoL . IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE). DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gambia, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants of the taxon include three Apocynaceae View in CoL species ( Carissa carandas L., Nerium oleander View in CoL L., and Alstonia scholaris View in CoL (L.) R. Br.), two Moraceae View in CoL species ( Ficus benghalensis L. and Artocarpus integer (Thunb.) Merr. View in CoL ), one Verbenaceae View in CoL species ( Tectona grandis View in CoL L.f.) and one Fabaceae View in CoL species
( Desmodium oojeinense (Roxb.) H.Ohashi ). Without specifying in which of the countries above they are found, the African Moths (2019) webpage lists the following as larval foodplants of the taxon: three
Apocynaceae species ( Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br., Carissa carandas L. and Nerium oleander L.), two
Moraceae species ( Artocarpus integer Thunb. ) Merr.) and Ficus benghalensis L., one Fabaceae species
( Desmodium oojeinense (Roxb.) H.Ohashi ) and one Lamiaceae species ( Tectona grandis L.f. [Common Name : Teak].
