Genus Ochrotrichia Mosely View in CoL
This genus is highly specious in North and Central America. There are approximately 114 Neotropical species ( Flint et al. 1999), having 22 occurring in South America with most of these occurring in Peru, Venezuela, Belize, Ecuador and Brazil. Until now, the genus has not been recorded from Argentina. Outside of the country the geographically nearest species is O. concha Bueno-Soria & Santiago-Fragoso 1992 , from the Amazons, Brazil.
