Delanymys brooksi Hayman 1962 , Rev. Zool. Bot. Afr., 65: 2-Jan.

Type Locality: SW Uganda, Kigezi, near Kanaba, Echuya (or Muchuya) Swamp, 7500 ft (2286 m) ( Hayman, 1962 a) .

Vernacular Names: Delany's Swamp Mouse.

Distribution: Sedge swamps in bamboo and montane forest in SW Uganda, Dem. Rep. Congo (Kivu), Rwanda (Volcanos and Nyungwe forest), and Burundi (Kibira National Park; Peterhans Kerbis, in litt., 1992).

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
