This species was described from the Lesser Whitethroat Sylvia curruca (L) and the Blackcap S. atricapilla (L) ( Sylviidae ) from Russia ( Bochkov & Mironov 1998) and it was not rediscovered since that time.

Material examined. From quills (secondaries) of the Lesser Whitethroat Sylvia curruca (L.) ( Sylviidae ): 13 females and 3 nymphs (Syr. 90B); Jordan (new locality), Al-Dhleil, 12 March 2002, leg. M. Skoracki.
