Holotype of Eutheia siamensis Franz

The holotype is a partly disarticulated but complete specimen (except for a missing part of abdomen). It is a male showing characters typical of the genus Cephennomicrus Reitter, 1907 (Cephenniini) : very small, convex and compact body; head without occipital constriction and with short and stout mandibles; antennae with indistinct club composed of antennomeres IX–XI; pronotum approximately semicircular with lateral edges and more than one pair of antebasal pits; elytra with rudimentary basal foveae; small broadly subtriangular mesoscutellum visible between elytral bases; prosternum with short, subtriangular prosternal process; mesoventrite with moderately broad mesoventral intercoxal process distinctly separating mesocoxae; and metaventral intercoxal process similar in width to mesoventral process. The head capsule with cushion-like tempora and transverse pronotal antebasal impression make this species somewhat similar to the Cephennomicrus pinguis group ( Jałoszyński 2009a, 2011b). Eutheia siamensis is herein transferred to Cephennomicrus and redescribed.
