Vernacular Names: Gloomy Tube-nosed Bat.

Distribution: Tsushima Isls ( Japan), perhaps Yakushima (Ryukyu Isls, Japan).

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Critically Endangered.

Discussion: Subgenus Murina . Reviewed by Yoshiyuki (1989).
