Lectotype (Larval exuviae with associated pupal exuviae, F): Puerto Limon, Costa Rica ( NMNH). Distribution in South America: Argentina , Brazil , Colombia , Ecuador , French Guiana, Venezuela. Type locality: Puerto Limon, Costa Rica.
