do Sul, Minas Gerais, and S„o Paulo. In Argentina, the species is found in the Province of Salta. There are also records in Paraguay and Bolivia.

Etymology. The name is a reference to the sculpturing on preepisternum, characterized as “scabrous” following Harris (1979), derived from Latin scabratus, meaning roughened, having the surface broken.
