Male microptera. body and legs largely yellow, but bicoloured with head and abdominal segments VI–X dark brown. Head wider than long, strongly projecting in front of eyes; ocelli absent, one pair of large ocellar setae; three pairs of postocular; mouth-cone pointed, reaching middle of pronotum; maxillary palps 2-segmented; compound eyes without pigmented ommatidia. Antennae 8-segmented, segment I with paired dorso-apical setae, segment II with CPS near apical margin, without any rows of microtrichia on both sides, segments III and IV each with a simple sense cone, surfaces without microtrichia. Pronotum trapezoidal, wider at posterior margin, smooth surface with about 4–6 small discal setae; anterior margin without long setae; posterior margin with one pair of long posteroangular setae and three pairs of posteromarginal setae ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Mesonotum without pair of anteromedian CPS, with weak transverse striae, median and submedian setae arising ahead of posterior margin ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Metanotum with a few weak transverse striae on anterior half, smooth on posterior area; median and submedian setae arising far behind anterior margin, without pair of CPS. Ferna and basantra absent; mesosternum with about 6 minute setae, endofurca without spinula; metasternum with about six minute setae, endofurca without spinula ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Fore wings represented by small lobe. Fore tibia inner apex with broadly flattened seta ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ). Abdominal tergites II–VIII with very weak transverse striae, without posteromarginal craspedum, but with sharp teeth laterally; tergite IX with pair of long stout setae, but without anterior CPS; abdominal sternites posterior margin with fine teeth laterally, sternite segments II–VII with 3 pairs of posteromarginal setae, all setae arising at margin ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ); sternites II–VIII with multiple irregular pore plates.

Measurements (holotype in microns). Distended body length 860. Head length 105, width across cheeks 115, vertex length 25. Pronotum median length 120, width 157.
