Ö: polylektisch, univoiltin, nistet oberirdisch in lichten Wäldern, auch im Siedlungsgebiet ( WESTRICH 1989).
V: Die Wiesenhummel ist von den Tallagen bis in die alpine Stufe häufig und in ganz Europa verbreitet ( WESTRICH 1989; NEUMAYER & KOFLER 2005).
