Figs. 6–13 View FIGURE 6 – 11 View FIGURE 12 – 16
Leucopholis reflexa Moser, 1924: 354 .
Description. Male: length 28.5–32.5 mm, width 14.0– 16.5 mm; female length 33.0 mm, width 16.5 mm. Clypeus anterior margin wide and strongly convex mesally, without median cleft, weakly indented and distinctly longer than labrum ( Figs. 6–7 View FIGURE 6 – 11 ). Antennal club length 1.7–1.8 mm and nearly as long as antennomeres II–VII. Anterior margin of mentum with pronounced median cleft and with ovoid-shaped depressions medially, posterolateral margin bordered with lateral carina. Pronotum anterior angle rounded, posterior angle obtuse and lobed in both sexes. Metaventral process length 1.8–2.3 mm. Protibial spur extending in front of the anterior angle in both sexes. Posterior metatibial with 18–26 spicules.
Male. Genitalia length 9.6 mm. Phallobase dorsal anterior margin with narrow V-shaped margin mesally. Paramere ventral inner posterior margin inverted, elongate, and spindle-shaped; parameres parallel laterally, apically and basally pointed, mid-posterior margin triangulate and posterior angle rounded. Dorsal mid-posterior margin bell-shaped, sloping downwards to the lateral posterior angle, inner posterior margin cup-shaped and inner anterior margin ovoid-shaped ( Figs. 8–10 View FIGURE 6 – 11 ).
Female. Clypeus weakly convex, weakly recurved, strongly indented laterally and distinctly narrower than labrum ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 6 – 11 ). Antennal club length 1.30 mm, shorter than antennomeres II–VII. Pronotum anterior angle obtuse and posterior angle at right angle. Hypomeron less exposed dorsally. Metaventral process length 2.3 mm. Posterior metatibia with 30–33 spicules.
Specimens examined. PHILIPPINES: 2♂♂; LUZON : Marinduque: 1♂, Santa Cruz, Mount Mabalagbag , v-1975. VISAYAS : Negros Oriental: 2♀♀, Tayasan , 6.0 m, 2-vi-1952, C. Yaptengco; MINDANAO: 2♂♂ 1♀ ; Misamis Oriental: 1♂ , Cagayan de Oro City, 5-xii-1932, H.L. Philipps.
Distribution. Philippines (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao)
Remarks. Externally similar to L. irrorata ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 – 16 ). Phallobase of male genitalia distinctly shorter than parameres. The specimens examined from the UNSM, NMM, and IRRI-AC match the digital photographs of one of Moser’s syntypes from the ZMHB (provided by Dr. Joachim Willers) ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 12 – 16 ). The clypeal character of the species is distinct.
