Type Locality: South Africa, Northern Cape Province, Bushmanland, Kenhart, Tuin (see Meester et al., 1986).
Vernacular Names: Brush-tailed Hairy-footed Gerbil.
Synonyms: Gerbillurus (Gerbillurus) seeheimi Lundholm 1955 .
Distribution: From South Africa (Northern Cape Province) northwest through Namibia towards Brukaros-Karas Mtns and C Namib Desert.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
