Type species: P. rugosa Bey-Bienko, 1969 . By monotypy.

Notes. The genus Placoblatta was described as monotypic on the basis of the females from North Vietnam (Bey- Bienko 1969). The male of the type species was described later ( Anisyutkin 1999).

Up to now, the genus Placoblatta has included only the type species from North Vietnam ( Beccaloni 2014).
