Syntypes (2 females, [probably] in Grouvelle collection, in original description), in MNHN [in Jeannel, 1936 and Szymczakowski, 1961, who cited they examined a holotype male].

Type locality: “ Espírito Santo ” [State], Brazil.

Distribution: Brazil: Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo States.

= D. dubius Pic, 1917: 3 ; Jeannel, 1936: 153 syn. (of D. monilis Murray [1856] , not stated as taxonomic change); syn. moved to D. maculatus by Szymczakowski, 1961: 154 (type seen).?
