Holotype male in CNCI.
Type locality: 27.3 mi N Ixtlán de Juarez (on Mexican Road 175 N of Oaxaca City), 9200 ft., Oaxaca State, Mexico.
Distribution: Mexico: Hidalgo, Jalisco, México, Morelos, Nuevo León, and Oaxaca States. Biology: Carrion scavenger in high elevation forests.
